What? Am I Nuts??

I know I am going to eat these words in a few months, but I would love to have one cold, blustery, rainy, fall-ish day.  I am weary of HOT weather, that parched, left-in-the-oven-too-long feeling.  So I am not waiting any longer. 



I have pork chops in the crock pot, a loaf of bread in the bread machine (my, I'm glad I made the SMALL loaf!), and cookies in the oven (not outside, the in-the-house one).  The only thing I am missing for atmosphere in this rare, quiet hour is a delicious cup of CAFFEINATED tea (I swore off caffeine,  ) in the beautiful new tea cup that my dear friend Barb gave me a couple of weeks ago. This was a special gift -- we have matching ones to enjoy from across the miles!



...It is only 2:30 pm, and we have not reached the hottest part of our day yet, but I am warming things up in the kitchen. Wait, didn't I just say I am tired of being hot?  What am I doing?? 




Sorry about the gloomy photography.  Maybe TC could have a Bad Photographer Award. I could win that one! (My bad poetry apparently wasn't bad enough for an award, lol!)

    We went swimming to "beat the heat" and I had to take a nap when we came in. The heat sucked away my energy! I'm ready for the fall too.

    Of course I miss you guys and... cough...the desert.. Actually I prefer the cold up here! :) I've always said that I prefer cold over hot :)


    I am having fun.. I've had a pretty rough and busy week this past week and I'm extremely tired and have had a headache all morning.. My head is like pounding... sigh... I won't take tylenol so dont say I should :D I prefer to tough it out and not rely on meds :)


    I'm weird,yes I know that.. :)

    I would love to send you some of our weather. It has been actually nice though. In the low 60's during the day and low 40's in the evening. I think it has finally stopped raining for a few days. I hope!! All is well here. We really enjoy reading your blog site. Thanks for those helpful hints in MATH!!! We just started today and it was one of those days!!!!!! Anyway, praying for you.

    That tea cup set is so cute. I was getting weary of the heat up here too. We have finally cooled off a bit, but we will warm up again. I hope you cool off soon. :)

    Hi Sally~

    Want a little wind, cool temps. and a LOT of rain?? My little corner of the Pacific N.W. is where you need to be! We reached a high of 65 today and had buckets of rain showers. I found one of our horses hoof deep in fresh mushy, mud in his corral. Yuck...and it's only August!! I was with you today on the warm meal idea. We had soup and sandwiches for dinner. I love your photos - by the way - and I do't think that you should get the worst photographer award.


    I do hope you get a cool down soon. If I could package up some of our weather and send it your way for a swap, I'd do it in a second. The both of us will just have to be content I guess.

    After a few weeks of VERY high temps we are on our third full day of rain and temps in the mid sixties....but heat and humidity is comin' back at the end of the week. Hope you get some relief soon!! I have actually used the oven two days in a row!

    Don't apologize for being tired of the heat, because I'm running around naked doing the 'cool weather dance' in the backyard, lol!!! If these temps don't come down soon, I won't be held responsible for my actions. :)
