Welcome to Diamonds in the Rough, the inconsistent scribblings of a preacher's wife, mom, and city girl happily out of her element. If you are a first-time guest here, please read "Why Diamonds?"
About your #1 Song comment on my blog. Thanks for playing along. Most of those songs I have not heard of either but when I did recognise them it was fun :-) At one stage, my parents burned every single LP they had along with all their non-Christian books. It was in the days before TV but they did let us listen to a certain Children's Hour show on the radio. Wow, that was a long time ago.....
Thanks for the encouragement. Lets put in a way everyone can get, Until today I did not know what the word pain meant. As for liking exercise.... not going to happen. But I will be able to tolerate pain at increased levels.
Such cute girls! Amber showed me dd3rd's blog tonight. Very cute! Looking at the pictures - you really do live in the desert, don't you! Does your youngest think grass is wierd?
Not even sure how I got here, I think it was through a link from your dd's blog, which again, I don't know how I got there! Such is the world of blogs. :)
Just wanted to stop in and say Hey, and I feel your desire for a nice blustery cold fall day.(later post than this one) I too have been thinking up things that would just heat up our kitchen way to much! LOL You know it's bad when it's too hot to cook inside and it's too hot to bbq outside! What to do then? :-)
I also wanted to comment on your rain pictures. We live in the same geographical area as you all, although I'm not sure what town you all are in. :) I have some pictures of the beautiful clouds that those glorious rain clouds brought posted on my blog. I should've posted pictures of my kids playing in the rain as well. Then I could be like the rest of us bloggers in the dry SW. LOL
Your dd's duet of Sweet and Low is beautiful. That was one of my favorite songs to sing to my kids as I rocked them to sleep.
Please can't you send some my way?
