Family Foto Fun

Our family photos have been put through the shrinking machine, and here they are.  First, we didn't care for the gloomy look of our blue shirts against blue background, so Amy transformed the background to black.  I can't get the photos to upload next to each other so that you can better compare the before and afters (yet another thing for me to learn to do in this short lifetime), but good enough.  Not bad for free, huh?  :)

before edit
after edit
(Twenty minutes of HTML gibberish goes by...) Okay, forget it.  I can't figure out how to align these photos!  Anyway, I like the black better.

So there we are.  All we wanted was one photo like this one.  My friend coaxed us into an hour and a half of posing!  The man of the family was a good sport. (The "new man" won. Yay!)  We have all sorts of poses, even one in our bare feet. :)  And now I must find a frame and put one of these on our wall, lest I die of the guilt that will consume me if I stash these in the bottom of a drawer somewhere, like I have done with all of our other photos...

  4. Very nice. I like both the before & after too. That is funny about the bare feet, I have a friend who had photos done & put on their letterhead and they were told later that one of the things that made them stand out from all the applicants (for church pastor) was the photo of them in their bare feet...they got the pastorate and are happily serving at that church.

  7. Oh wow - that is gorgeous! (and the older girls almost look like twins in that first one - LOL.)

I actually like the blue background - not quite as much as the black - but I still think you all look very nice.

Your girls' hair is so pretty! My girls keep getting their cut shorter and shorter (It's easier to take care of for the younger two, and Julie want's hers shoulder length but she decided she didn't' like all of the layers they put in - so she had them cut off....to chin length!) What a drastic difference from her long hair.

  9. Yes, the black is better. I'll have to remember that for when we get our picture taken. As for Pi Day, it is really on March 14th (Get it? 3.14?). My son told me about it, otherwise I would never have heard of it. I am not as into math as he is.
