Homeschoolshelter tagged me a while back (she's excused -- she didn't know this is a no-tag zone, and how would anyone know, since I removed my warning sign with my latest template code change?) with six quirky things about me. I don't know... I'm so ordinary I don't have any quirks. Or maybe everything about is me is quirky, and I just don't realize it. So instead, I am doing this fun meme, which I found at Frugal Granola. This is not according to the tag rules, but I make up my own. Unless it's Bible, of course.
Here's the concept:
a. Type your answer to each of the questions below into Flickr Search.
b. Using only the first page, pick an image. (Be careful. Flickr isn't filtered.)
c. Copy and paste each of the URLs for the images into Mosaic Maker. You get the URL by clicking on the photo, then copying the url from your browser.

I think it's amazing how unique and fascinating those seemingly random images are, and yet how cohesively they go together. I *loved* the Petoskey one - my home state, you know! :)
ReplyDeleteIf I weren't out of avoidance techniques, I would copy this into my blog, but off to lesson planning I go.... brewing a cup of Americaine Chai, and sitting down with school books and planners (sigh). I have a love/hate relationship with this, can you tell?
Have a lovely holiday weekend! What are you all doing? Oh, and Sally - Robyn and I are thinking we need to have a girl's day out and meet sometime this winter - what do you think? :)
love,
Shani
See, I found three quirky things right here. John Garrison...never heard of him, I'll have to look it up...so that's quirky. You always wanted to be a mom...in this day and age, that's quirky. And you like the rain. Rain is the most often complained about weather on earth...right before heat. So, there you are, three quirky things. :-)
ReplyDeleteI think I'll have to borrow this meme form you. It looks interesting. But then, I like meme's so I guess that makes my 7th quirky thing. :-D
I don't think I can do this meme, it might freeze up my computer. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I just wanted to come over here and give you big, long-distance, internet (((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))). I cried for you when I read your comment. I know so well how painful those tears can be, how you feel like you spend more time than not banging your head through the wall. I don't think I even have a wall left in the house some days.
I don't know how old your RBL is but I've noticed two things, maturity comes slowly, and we can't raise them the way we think. RBL's are soooooooo sensitive. Some time this weekend I'll post a few things I've read on other blogs and a helpful comment left on my blog by another RBL mom. I know my method is very controversial in the church so I'm not sure if I will post that or not. I don't want to start a firestorm.
Thanks for letting me know about the links. They are up now. I've been so frustrated about that lately. I don't know if the problem is with homeschoolblogger or with the new Firefox update. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteNeat meme!
ReplyDeleteWell, I started my post on RBL and I did a typical computer illiterate thing and lost it. Oh, well, it's not like I wasn't going to completely re-write it before posting. I think I'll do it in word next, though, just in case.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to send your e-mail to mine I'll let you know my controversial parenting method. It's definitely not popular, at least not if I judge what I read on most blogs. But it has worked for us amazingly. my e-mail is my blog name at the top of this comment at yahoo etc. I hope that makes sense. I left my e-mail at a blog once, even with all the spaces and such and still got spammed like crazy.
It took forever and one of the pics didn't come out but I did it! lol Here's the url: http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/OldPathsMom/584246/
ReplyDeleteYou are extraordinary in your ordinary-ness.
