MOMS Challenge

Just a quick update ~

I am pleased to report that this week I walked a mile first thing in the morning for four days in a row, excluding Sunday!  Yea!!!!!  I have rewarded myself plenty, which really isn't a good idea, since the rewards have the opposite effect of the walking.  But it's a start.  I will continue this until the sun's too hot in the morning, which won't be long.  And then?  I will either do it in the evening or... before the sun comes up. (Oh, right.LOL) This is a very heavy town and it's easy to see why.  Much of the time it's either too hot or too windy  to enjoy being outside.  But we have had a very lovely spring this year.  I should have started sooner! Wish me success!

  1. You've been a busy little poster over here! I enjoyed the cactus lesson and especially your list of questions. Good luck with finding the answers to those. Does "because I said so" work here? Hmmmm AND Hooray to You!!! for doing your walking. Excellent.

  2. Congratulations on the walking! I'm impressed - I'm not a morning person! :)

Oh, and I love the design of your blog, especially the background :D

  3. Yea, Sally! :-) I hear you about the heat - we are in Dallas. I just bought a Leslie Sansone DVD - she does a walking workout. I've only done the first workout so far - on the DVD I got, there are 5 different workouts - and it was pretty good! It was one you could probably do with your girls as well. I got it at Target.

  4. Thanks for stopping by!

I grew up on the east coast of Australia always minutes from the ocean and warm, tropical water. The photo on my blog is of Lake Michigan (DH has family up there): definitely too cold for my liking but pretty none the less! And I guess I'm busted because when I thought about it, your background sand had reminded me of the beach! lol :D

That's kind of what the desert is like, right? One big beach with like ... no water? lol I've heard plenty of people have even found shells in some deserts! :D

  5. Sally, here is Leslie Sansone's website. Tonight was the first time I've ever been there. She's got a very interesting Walking Club. Check it out on the left side of the web page:

My husband and I have been doing her workouts this week and have enjoyed them and we're pretty darn picky about our exercise video gurus. ;-) She's not so annoying as others. LoL
