What I Did On My Summer Vacation

Doesn't every school kid have to write a paper on that topic when they go back to school in the fall? We went to Virginia Beach to visit my husband's parents and his sister's family. It was the first time (in memory) that we had seen the Atlantic Ocean. The Chesapeake Bay area is beautiful! Rather than bore you with the details of all the great places we saw (maybe I will write more later on all that!), I will instead bore you with pictures of things we did! So here it is:

We ATE!  (Here is the evidence.)

We EXPLORED:

And we PLAYED!

We also had a wonderful time with family! Hey, I would love to figure out how to put these photos side-by-side rather than one on top of the other, so if any of you blog-smart people out there can help me, I will appeciate it. (Look! 12 yo daughter showed me.  Should have asked her in the first place!)  If I get time tomorrow, I will post some scenery pics. (No, no time yet!)

  1. What a beautiful family you have. It is a joy to visit your blog and see all the goings on of your family. Looks like you did eat and eat and eat on your vacation! You must have enjoyed the little break from cooking. Thanks for sharing all your lovely pictures...and no, they were not a bore!

    Blessings~

  3. We missed you!! Your girls look so cute! The food looks so yummy - I'm hungry! And the snake looks pretty scary!

Great pix, it would have taken me a long time to get that many up.

Thanks for sharing your vacation with us! I did the laundry thing Thur-Fri and now I have to do the ironing thing. :).

Don't stop blogging - just do it while the girls are asleep. Sleep is terribly overrated ya know. lol

    Have a good day!!!

  5. Use Photobucket or Flikr (SP?). We've used both, you can create a slide show. We used Flickr for the DL pictures. Julia can help you with that if you need.

  10. Why does everyone else get to find snakes and I don't?! Not fair :P Do you know what kind of snake that is?? To me, it looks like a Northern Water Snake, but it is hard to tell in the pic :)

    See you tomorrow!!

  11. Good Morning Sally!

A blessed Lord's day to you too! Don't worry about having called me Jane - my mom did all the time when I was little, thus my nickname Ladyjane. My two brothers used to call me Spam (instead of Pam of course) and I'd much rather be referred to as anything other than that nasty excuse for a slab of pork. My apologies to you if you happen to like it.

I would be very interested in your source for the book George Street. We are always on the look out for great books, especially those that will encourage and challenge us in our walk with Jesus.

    Until next time~

You are right - I was *very* happy with what I read!

I would like your permission to add Ailson to my friends. I definitely need to read her brillant writings more... Thanks for raising a Godly young lady who will impact our world for the better!

    Sincerely,

    Jocelyn

  13. I don't know what hardly anything on the beach is called! And I'm a native! I look it up in books AND the internet.

About your pictures...don't try to rearrange them from the html source, but rather from where you can SEE them.
